Points of Consideration

We recommend bringing high quality waders and fishing equipment in good condition. Gear failures can adversely affect your enjoyment of the trip. Some gear is available at camp, but may not be acceptable to your preferences. Felt sole wading boots are no longer allowed on Alaska waters. Do not bring fly tying kits, as the camp has tying materials should you wish to tie a few flies. Follow the ‘layered’ effect in dressing, which will minimize the required clothing to be comfortable in all weather conditions.

Keep your gear weight at no more than 50 lbs. Smaller bags are available to repack your gear for camp. leaving travel clothes and unneeded items behind. Repacking may be necessary prior to loading the aircraft for transport to camp. Freight fees apply for transit of added items such as cases of beer, etc.

We are a catch and release fishing operation and will instruct you on how to land/handle fish for pictures and release. The items we have available for purchase at camp include: baseball caps/dress shirts with company logo, flies, beer and soft drinks. Special dietary or personal needs must be arranged for at least three weeks prior to arrival in camp. Fishing licenses may be purchased online at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game website. You do not need a salmon stamp unless you have arranged to do a flyout trip to fish king salmon. we can instruct you on obtaining the required stamp.
